ABOUT YOGADELIC

Yogadelic exists to spread a specific message: Everything is connected.

In fact, all of yoga can be boiled down to this simple truth. And all of yoga’s many techniques—from its philosophy, asana, and pranayama—are ultimately attempting to guide you into discovering this truth for yourself.

That we are all ultimately one big connected web of energy is a simple message. It is so simple that it is easy to ignore and forget. We created Yogadelic to remind you (and us). And we want to remind you because we believe this message is the single most important Truth about Life. Not to get dramatic, but we think just about every woe and ill in the world can be traced to a belief that we are separate from each other and from everything else. And for us, when we live like we are connected, we feel better. And who doesn’t like to feel better?

This is also why community jam sessions: music brings people together and feels good. It is why we do sound baths. Even massage therapy can be seen to foster connection between people.

Thank you for reading. We look forward to practicing with you.

Peace,
Gloria and Alex Novaa

OUR TEACHING ETHOS

Yogadelic teaches a mishmash of yoga that pulls practices from many disciplines that align with this basic principle:

Use movement and mindfulness to feel better, move better, and live better.

If we want to wade into the weeds a bit… Yogadelic practices a moving meditation that is designed to strengthen the power of attention so you can become more self-aware so you can better understand who you are so you can live your best life.

You know, simple stuff like that.

To be more specific, we draw on the teachings of Krishnamacharya and of his students Desikichar and the Mohans. As well as Kundalini yoga, Qigong, Kung Fu, pilates, barre, and calisthenics.

We pull whatever we can, from wherever, and overlay it with mindfulness so that it helps make you feel better, move better, and live better.

The easiest way to understand yoga is to show up. If you can breath, you can do yoga.
